Margo Gallagher Other, Visual Arts I am a life-long creative, artist, and part owner of Vibe Gallery in downtown Petaluma. My latest artistic endeavor, KaleidaStars, involves taking photos, printing them out, and cutting them up into hundreds of pieces and putting them back together again to ultimately create a personally designed large scale kaleidoscope. My focus is photographing street art, flowers, memorial pieces, or anything that moves me. I love bright colors! Most of my work is commission based, but I also have prints and cards at the gallery.

Willing to go 'all in' to get the shot, Scott camped for days in the Oregon wilderness to capture the August 2017 total solar eclipse. His FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certificate supports capturing fresh aerial points of view. His award-winning images are featured in private collections, winery publications, popular photo products, and stock photo services.

Musician, Composer, Drummer, Mixed-Media Artist, Band Leader of "Ratatet"

I started my life as a professional drummer at 13 years, a visual artist 20 years later, now I'm also an active composer and band leader of my own neo-jazz sextet, Ratatet.

In addition to being an active performer and artist, I teach drum lessons, workshops and ensembles at schools and Jazz camps throughout the Bay Area. My teaching is based at California Jazz Conservatory in Berkeley and Cal State East Bay in Hayward.

Music and Visual Art are two different modes of expressions for me. Both seem to function as positive feedback loops for me, and I hope, others. I'm striving to integrrate the two art forms in both a personal and social context.

Peter Hassen Mixed, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, Video, Visual Arts Peter Hassen is a visual artist based in Sonoma, California. His work focuses on themes of nature, science and spirituality. Working in a variety of mediums, such as painting, sculpture, photography and printmaking, Hassen seeks to create dialogue between these themes, and raise questions about our societies, cultures and their commonalities. Peter earned his B.F.A. in Studio Art from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He has exhibited his work, ranging from sculpture, painting and installation, in national galleries and public lands for more than two decades. From 2012-2014 Peter activated his Values Project series in the cities of Napa and Sacramento. Over 800 value words where stenciled in public parking lots in Napa and Sacramento in collaboration with city governments and local organizations. In 2021 Peter's monumental metal sculptures from his Cycles series were exhibited by the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art in the Sonoma Plaza.

Dustin Heald Audio, Composition, Crew, Film, Film Office, General Services, Instrumental, Media, Multi-Media, Music, Other, Painting, Photography, Sculpture, Technical, Theatre, Visual Arts, Vocal Located in California's North Bay Area, Dustin Heald is a multifaceted artist specializing in Music, Makeup Effects, sculpture, Special Prop fabrication, and character design. Dustin has experience working in film, television and theater, as well as mask making, casualty simulation, and hair work. He has worked on projects in LA, Pittsburgh PA, Cairo Egypt, and the San Francisco Bay Area. Dustin is a singer/songwriter who plays guitar and drums. He is involved in various collaborative projects with other artists as well as producing his own original material.

Michelle Hirsch Creative Sonoma Grantee, Mixed, Visual Arts Mixed Media Artist: I experiment with found material in my mixed media works. My recent collages and installations have incorporated materials such as syringes, bandages, masks, tree wound sealer, flagging tape, Venetian plaster and charred trees from the wildfires. There is always strong research component behind my work. I immerse myself in the environment for site specific projects. I work intuitively and projects will morph depending on material constraints and the direction of my research. As an immigrant, I am interested in the falsehood of the Other. The recurring themes in my body of work are related to identity and healing.

Melinda Hughes-Berland Photography I've been a photographer for 46 years! I love my job. I feel very fortunate. I started photographing Grand Prix and smaller horse shows plus the world famous Tevis Cup Race, shooting Cougar Rock for 36 years with my husband Paul Hughes. In 1988 I started to photograph weddings and portraits. In 2003 I recieved my PPA Master degree and certification though Professional Photographers of America. I also often painted over photographs with oils. I about 2008 I changed to the digital format. I started compositing horses with ladies in my digital art. In 2012 I achieved the Diamond status through PPA, getting all four images into the Photographic Excellence category. Very exciting.... Mostly, I have a passion for what I do and pre-invision my art. I truly love working with horses and people. Over the years I have photographed horses, wildlife, newborns, boudoir, Brides, families, maternity and individual portraits. Currently, I am focused on family portraits, newborns, maternity, wildlife and horses. I'm told I am very easy to work with and I try to always make our sessions fun! Drew Jackson Mixed, Photography, Visual Arts My journey with encaustic medium started in 2010 when I participated in a workshop with Kathleen McCallum at a local art store. Since that time, I have taken a class at the Mendocino Art Center with Mira White and an encaustic mono printing class with Rae Miller in San Miguel Allende, Mexico. The mono printing class in Mexico changed my focus from traditional hard-surface encaustic painting to what I do now which is what I call, Digital Encaustic. What I do, simply put, is paint with a wax medium specifically to photograph. The subject can be a dry, cool encaustic piece but more often than not, the piece is molten on the hot plate when I photograph it. I also use much more than wax in my creations.

Jennifer Joyce, a native of Southern California, embarked on a life of creating functional and sculptural ceramics in 1995.

Joyce is a sculptor and ceramist whose body of work is both thoughtful and whimsical. She brings a unique background in dance, music, archaeology and photography to her art. As a past modern dancer and working archaeologist, Jennifer weaves lightness and whimsy, movement, dance and music into her pieces.

Jennifer opened her own ceramics school in Santa Monica, California in 1995 for 18 years and established another location in San Clemente in 2013. In her San Clemente studio she continued her ceramics school and also founded the Artists Studios of San Clemente, an artist studio collective that is still thriving.

Since moving to Sonoma County, Jennifer has opened her private studio to teaching ceramics and sculpture, has taught numerous classes and workshops at the Sonoma Community Center, teaches for the Mentor Program and has taught part-time at the Sonoma Academy in Santa Rosa. Her emphasis is on hand building, wheel throwing and figurative sculpture.

DENNIS KOHN Photography, Recovery Fund Grantee, Visual Arts

DENNIS KOHN, professional photographer, teacher, world traveler, image maker, pioneer, environmentalist, and student of life, is as diverse as his background indicates.

Graduated with Honors from Pennsylvania State University in l969 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Dennis continued his education through l971 with graduate studies in photography. In 1975, to follow his destiny, he left teaching to open the first DENNIS KOHN STUDIOS in New Hope, Pennsylvania. After a split in a business partnership, the first studio was closed and DENNIS KOHN STUDIOS in Laguna Beach, California was born. Several years later, Dennis would re-locate to the Bay area where he has been working for the past 30 years. In l982 through l985, Dennis returned to teaching by offering weekend photographic seminars to places as Yosemite, Lake Tahoe, and Monterey and Carmel. These workshops taught the "Art of Photographing the Landscape".

DENNIS KOHN currently sells Photographic Art worldwide to individuals and corporations through art consultants, galleries, and prestigious outdoor art shows throughout the western states, as well as his own studio/gallery in Santa Rosa. Dennis has won numerous awards for his images: from the white-washed villages of GREECE, the remote villages of rural CHINA; to the wonderful waters of TAHITI, and the history of two European countries SPAIN and PORTUGAL; and the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts of TURKEY.
