Student Arts Spotlight

Student Arts Spotlight shares the good news of the arts making a difference in students’ lives in a monthly feature. The Sonoma County Arts Education Alliance is pleased to share Petaluma City Schools, McDowell Elementary School’s Bailie Folklorico. The student dancers performed for about 80 parents at end of the year assemblies, as well as over 200 parents at 6th grade promotion! Arts Education Framework Grants – Now Open!

Learn more about this next round of funding to support students’ access to arts education! Funding provides expert help to create a customized plan for each district. Featured – Arts Education in Rural Districts of Sonoma County

Sonoma County is featured for participation in the California Rural Arts Network, offered through the California County Superintendents Arts Initiative (CCSESA). Information is available about work done countywide as well as a spotlight on Horicon and Guerneville School Districts and their use of arts strategies to support their students.
