Residencies based in Sonoma, Marin, and Mendocino Counties are listed below. Wildlands Art Residency
Open to Visual Artists, Writers, Poets, Composers, Performers, Filmmakers, and Architects
Deadline:  March 31 for June 3-25, 2017

Sonoma Community Center
Ceramics Residency Program
Deadline:  May 2, 2017 for July-December 2017
Deadline:  November 17, 2017 for January-July 2018

Chalk Hill Artist Residency
Open to All Media: fine arts, design, multi-media, sound artists, dance, musicians, performance, and writers, including both abled and disabled artists.
Deadline:  August 31, 2017 for 2018 season

Writing Between the Vines: Vineyard Retreats for Writers
Deadline:  Fall 2017 deadline (TBA) for Winter-Spring 2018


Mesa Refuge
Open to writers and other creatives, mostly focused on “ideas at the edge” of nature, human economy and social equity.
Deadline: June 1, 2017 for Fall 2017 and December 1, 2017 for Spring 2018

Headlands Center for the Arts
Open to All Media: drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, film, video, new media, installation, fiction and nonfiction writing, poetry, dance, music, interdisciplinary, social practice, and architecture.
Deadline:  June 2, 2017 for March-November 2018 residencies

Lucid Art Foundation
Open to artists working in the visual arts, video/new media, music composition, and choreography.
Deadline:  November 2017 deadline (TBA) for 2018 residencies.


Mendocino Art Center Artist-In-Residence Program
Ceramics & Sculpture, Fiber Art/Textiles, Fine Art, and Jewelry/Metalworking
Deadline:  April 11, 2017 for October 1, 2017 – May 15, 2018 residencies

Project 387
Open to artists working in the fields of visual and interdisciplinary arts.
Deadline:  Currently on hiatus in 2017, watch for application materials for Summer 2018
