Guitar Player is launching a benefit concert on April 20, 2018 at the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts to celebrate the resilience of Sonoma County musicians.

A big part of that benefit is providing free guitars to eligible Sonoma Country musicians who lost their instruments in the fires.

Thanks to some of the guitar manufacturers that Guitar Player partners with throughout the year, we will provide a number of free replacement guitars to Northern California guitarists who lost instruments in the fires.

Send your request for a free guitar to Guitar Player Editor in Chief Michael Molenda at mmolenda@nbmedia.com.

The email subject must say "Free Guitar," and include your name, address, and telephone number. You must also include a paragraph or two about what it means to be a guitar player and how you share your artistry with the community (bands, digital music releases, live shows, or even performing solely for family and friends). You must be a resident of Sonoma County to be eligible for a free guitar.

We will fulfill as many eligible requests as we have guitars. Donated instruments are "as is" from the original manufacturers or charitable individuals and carry no warranties.

NOTE: There will also be frequent posts on Guitar Player's Facebook page where NorCal residents can comment, and ask to be considered for a free instrument.

Individuals chosen to receive a guitar will be notified via email before the April 20 event.

BONUS! You will also get one free ticket to the benefit concert at the Luther Burbank Center.

You—or a family member, band mate, or friend— must be present at the Luther Burbank Center benefit on April 20, 2018 to pick up your instrument.

Due to cost and labor factors, no guitars can be shipped to home, work, or other addresses. (Hey, it's a charity event, and every dollar of profit goes to the charities!)
