We are thrilled to host expert trainers Rebecca and Steve from the Center for Artistic Activism in New York at our Petaluma Studio. They will lead you through a fun, interactive workshop where you’ll learn about artistic activism, work with other artists and activists to develop campaigns in support of your fellow Sonoma County residents, and leave with creative and strategic ways to help your community.
In this 2-hr workshop, you will:
-learn the fundamentals of artistic activism and how to apply them to your social or environmental justice work.
-collaborate with other artists and activists.
-receive feedback and guidance from the Center for Artistic Activism.
-leave with wildly creative and highly strategic ways to build the communities you want.
Who is this for?
Everyone! No previous experience required.
You don’t need to be an “Artist.” You don’t need to be an “Activist.” You can be a seasoned advocate, new to this space, a professional creative, or someone who goes into a panic when they have to pick up a paintbrush. No experience is required, beyond an openness to creativity and experimentation.
