Call for entries for the runway show on April 22nd, Earth Day, featuring unique garments, made by community members from recycled, found and unconventional materials. Anyone over the age of 9 is welcome to apply!
Participants can make original wearable art that will strut down the in person Trashion Fashion catwalk. Amateurs as well as professionals, whether individuals or groups, ages 9 and above are encouraged to enter. The only rules are that outfits must be made from materials that have been previously used, found at thrift stores, or rescued from the trash. Prizes will be awarded under a variety of categories and entries will be featured in the 13th annual “Trashion Fashion Show” scheduled Saturday, April 22 on Earth Day at the Sonoma Veterans Memorial Hall.
The Sonoma Community Center is gearing up for April’s Earth Month by officially inviting the community to participate in the upcoming annual Trashion Fashion events. Official entry forms and rules are now available for anyone or any team curious about the creative sustainable opportunities to “turn trash into treasure.”
Applications are due: March 25th, 2023
Final completion of outfit between April 1 - 15th for Design review.
