Family Day featuring Somos Amigos

This free event (tickets not required) includes a bilingual (English & Spanish) concert followed by a variety of arts activities for children.

Friendship is at the heart of this joyful collaboration between Mexican songstress, Sonia De Los Santos, and the Americana folk duo, The Okee Dokee Brothers. This bilingual program includes both old and new songs that span the musical traditions of North America and illustrate the collective power of singing together and learning from each other. Family Day will have a festival feel with refreshments, face painters, and a variety of arts activities led by Sonoma State education students and local teaching artists for children of all ages.

Family Day is a free event, thanks in part to support from the California Arts Council. 

No ticket required! All seating for this event is general admission and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

1:30 p.m. Play Marimba! pre-concert performance

2 p.m. Somos Amigos concert w/ Sonia De Los Santos and The Okee Dokee Brothers

3 p.m. Grupo Folklorico Quetzalen of Sonoma Valley dance demonstrations, arts activities for families and children led by SSU education students, percussion workshop with Play Marimba, hip hop dance workshops w/ Eros Mene; food trucks and concessions available
