A four-week Music Theory and Music Appreciation Course designed to provide enrichment and to enhance the skills of young musicians. June 15-July 10, Thursdays, 1-3:30 pm and Mondays and Wednesdays, 10am-11am.
The course consists of two portions: Music Theory/Musicianship, and Music Appreciation/Practice Technique. Students will take the level of Music Theory/Musicianship most appropriate for their skills as determined by the faculty.
Introduction to Music Theory and Musicianship (Level 1) OR Intermediate/Advanced Music Theory and Musicianship (Level 2 and 3)
Music Appreciation/Practice Technique/Audition Prep (All levels)
The classes will be fun, stress-free and informative. Students will gain new skills they are unable to explore during rehearsals.
Students will meet 2-3 times per week – one or two 45-60 minute lectures on Music Theory and one 90-minute lecture on Music Appreciation and Practice Technique (in person over Zoom or other online platform).
