CALL FOR ARTISTS: KQED's Check, Please! Bay Area

Are you a Visual Artist? Check, Please! Bay Area Wants to Showcase Your Paintings on Our Set!

Check, Please! Bay Area is starting another season early next year and we’re looking for new paintings in various sizes to be part of our television set.

We are looking for paintings with these specifications: 

24” x 36”; 30” x 40”; 36” x 48” or slightly larger unframed canvas
Vertical paintings 32” x 16 (or there about) unframed canvas
Saturated jewel tone color palette
Abstract/abstract expressionism, not too busy
We start taping Monday, January 29 and we need to make our final selection of the artwork on Monday, January 8.

If you have paintings that will fit our needs, please email us three or more samples of your work. Again, please take note of our requirements listed above.

In exchange for the loan of the paintings, artists will receive a mention in the closing credits on the television show and on the Check, Please! Bay Area website.
