Statistics do not tell the story of immigration. People do. Since its inception, this nation has been continually infused with the energy of newcomers. Yet their assimilation has seldom been smooth. The challenges are not new. Only the stories are. Raul Ramos Y Sanchez

This exhibit couldn’t be more timely, encompassing politics, racism, love, psychology, societal transformation and the future of our nation. Artists are invited to submit artwork depicting your own personal story of immigration, stories of how your ancestors came to America, or of crossing your personal borders.

This is a non-juried show. However, SRAC has the right to accept or reject pieces if they do not conform to the theme or aren’t professionally presented. Art that is not properly wired and prepared for presentation will not be accepted. No sawtooth hangers, please. SRAC will reimburse artists an amount equal to the sales price minus 40% commission. Please provide a brief biography and artist’s statement. This will help answer questions by the public about your art.

Open to artists from the Bay Area and Northern California.

Maximum of three images. Size limitations:  42” in any direction (maximum 1764 square inches including frame).

Fees: Members, $15 per entry, $40 for 3. Non-members, $20 per entry, $50 for 3

Pick up unsold artwork: September 28 or September 29 from 12 to 3 pm.
