SFArtsED is a 49-year-old nonprofit arts education organization serving K-12 students in San Francisco. Each year we work with some 8,000 students through artist-in-residence programs in the public schools, after-school/weekend programs, art summer camp and exhibitions/workshops at our Minnesota Street Project art studio/gallery. All programs stem from our mission to provide participatory arts experiences to the children of San Francisco alongside some of the greatest artists in the Bay Area. In a world where creativity is undervalued and arts education is often reserved for children of privilege, the San Francisco Arts Education Project provides opportunities for working artists to nurture and inspire the next generation of creative thinkers and encourage them to experience joy, develop new skills, nurture self-confidence and expand their hearts and minds.
