Free weekend retreat focusing on making music together as a community for people who lost their homes to relax, release, and restore at a magical, musical retreat in the Redwoods in Occidental at CYO Camp on January 26 – 28, 2018.

The facilitators of improvisation music making journeys, Judith Lerner, Patricia Hatfield and Cheryl Ulrich bring their experience with improvisation, music and drum circle facilitation, and healing sound to their Magic of Music workshops. They’ve been creating playful environments together for several years, sharing the healing power of music. According to participants, the workshops give “permission to play,” where, “people can make music without knowing how to formally play an instrument.” They report it’s a good place for “people looking to release stress in their life.”

"We feel that making music together is a bridge into a world of being with what is - together - and learning new ways to create life newly.  We are looking forward to contributing these insights to people who lost their homes in the fires. "
