Gallery/Studio Spaces in Petaluma

I am a fine art photographer and founder of Riverfront Art Gallery in Petaluma. We have won many awards for best art gallery in Petaluma and Sonoma County. Our building was sold, and we will have to vacate in the near future (at least temporarily while the building undergoes renovation).

I am working on a new venture that is a combination of art gallery and studio spaces just outside of downtown Petaluma. It will be located in a large 100 year old industrial building, right on the river, that is now undergoing renovation. Possible tenants in this building include a microbrewery, wine tasting room, and restaurant.

The studio spaces will range in size from 50 square feet to 450 square feet.  It is an open, airy space with high ceilings and skylights. Many things will be included in the studio rental price, such as liability insurance, utilities, high-speed wi-fi, extensive marketing, and a monthly "Open Studios" that is open to the public. I am looking for artists who are looking for studio space and/or gallery space.

There are a couple of dozen artists already on board, they include painters, photographers, ceramicists, sculptors, jewelers, weavers, and mixed media artists. I am also considering other creative enterprises, and not just "artists".

The place may be ready for occupancy some time in the fall. E-mail me for more information and to claim a space for yourself, the studios are already over half full. Planning meetings are going on right now so that we will be fully operational on day one. This will be the largest collection of artists in one place in Petaluma, and one of the largest in the North Bay Area.
