Get Better At Asking For Money Sept. 26 – Oct. 17

Santa Rosa Junior College Community Education is again offering “Sponsorship: Asking For Money For Your Organization,” a four-week class about how to ask for nonprofit support or sponsorship. Class will meet from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on four Wednesdays, September 26 through October 17 on the SRJC Santa Rosa campus. Cost for the class is just $121.

Instructor Toni Bodenhamer has been developing successful sponsorship programs for various events and nonprofits since 1989. She will walk students through how to prepare for your sponsorship or fundraising project, who to ask, materials needed, how to ask, how to feel comfortable asking, and how to make it most likely the donor or sponsor will give again next year. Students can develop a plan over the four weeks, or bring their existing plans to add new ideas, adjustments or updates.

Both nonprofit staffers and volunteers found this class helpful last spring.
