Calibrate Your Compass: Goal Setting and Career Planning for Artists

WHEN: Mondays, September 16, 23, and 30, 2019 | 5:30-7:30pm

WHERE: Creative Sonoma, 141 Stony Circle, Suite 110, Santa Rosa, CA  95401

PRESENTER:  Beatrice L. Thomas (bio below)

FEE: $79 for all three sessions (sign up by August 31, 2019 for the early bird rate of $65)

The three-part Calibrate Your Compass Series is about giving artists tools they can use to plot their careers: successful artists understand their practice emotionally, financially and strategically. By investigating your values, priorities, and income, participants will learn how to define and achieve goals steadily over time. Participants will identify their core values and learn how to use them to make decisions that sustain their whole self. An artist’s’ job is to monetize anything and everything in their wheelhouse to sustain their full practice (from intellectual property and thought leadership, to the rare technical skills and/or equipment acquired). Through individual and small group work, thoughtful exercises, and an intersectional lens, this workshop will build community and give you the tools for greater accountability.

Week 1:  Align Your Values and Priorities

Week 2:  Find Your Reason for Being: clarify your goals, scope, and scale

Week 3:  Establish Your 2-Year Plan: good goals versus unrealistic goals

SOLD OUT - REGISTRATION NOW CLOSED
