WORKSHOP: Tourism Readiness for Creatives

Tourism Readiness for Creatives

WHEN: Wednesday, August 14, 2019, 5:30-7:30pm

WHERE: Garden Valley Ranch, 498 Pepper Road, Petaluma, CA

FEE: $15 per person, includes the panel discussion and a self-guided tour of the gardens

Are you an artist interested in joining forces with a local tourism destination to share your skills with or sell your work to tourists, or are exploring opening your studio to visitors?

Are you a representative of an arts or culture organization interested in integrating arts and culture experiences into the "menu" of what is offered to visitors to Sonoma County?

Join us for a panel discussion and workshop on how individual creatives and arts and culture organizations can prepare for, partner with, and benefit from our vibrant local tourism industry, with speakers Brad Day, Founder and Publisher of the Weekend Sherpa travel blog, and Todd O'Leary, Vice President of Marketing and Communications of Sonoma County Tourism. Brad will discuss the types of events and destinations that he seeks when building and curating his suggested day trips to his subscribers, and Todd will share background information on the types of visitors that come to Sonoma County and ways that the Tourism team can help the creative community market to them.

Thank you to our host, the gorgeous, historic Garden Valley Ranch - rose growers, event venue, and creative experience destination - and yes, we will literally ask you to take time to smell the roses while there!
