2021 STUDENT FILM COMPETITION

The Alexander Valley Film Society (AVFS) is accepting submissions for the 2021 AVFS Student Film Competition. The screening competition will take place during the Alexander Valley Film Festival, April 23-May 2, 2021, (exact date TBD) at a socially-distanced drive-in event with awards handed out that evening.

There are now three separate divisions:

1. Films made in school as part of a class project – middle and high school – (Sonoma County students only). In partnership with the Sonoma County Office of Education, we will accept the top films from SCOE’s FIVE MINUTE FILM FESTIVAL. Students do not need to enter twice. Submissions will be delivered from SCOE to AVFS.
2. Films made independently by students – middle and high school – these must be submitted via Film Freeway (see below for details)
3. Films made by college students (must be currently enrolled at the time of submission) – these must be submitted via Film Freeway (see below for details)
