Celebrate National Poetry Month!

DETAILS:
Create an original piece of work related to the month’s prompt. Entries may include drawings, painting, collages, poems, short stories, essays, etc. Check back each month for a new theme!

THIS MONTH’S PROMPT: NATIONAL POETRY MONTH
Show off your creativity with an original poem. It can be silly, serious, rhyming, or not! Consider using one of these poetry prompts to help you get started.

PRIZES:
The Top Three entries in each grade group (K-2nd, 3rd-5th, Middle/High School) will receive a backpack filled with school supplies. The winner of each grade group will also have their entry featured on the Create & Celebrate online gallery.

RULES:
One entry per person. Contest is open to all Sonoma County & Marin County Youth ages 5-18. Youth do not need to be a Club Member to participate. Deadline to enter is last day of each month (e.g. 4/30 for April contest).

NOTE FOR PARENTS: By entering, you agree to have your child’s name and artwork displayed on our website, if selected.

TWO WAYS TO ENTER:
1) Submit a digital copy through our online entry form.

2) Give your entry to any Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin staff. Please include name, grade and the Club (if applicable).
