CALL FOR ART: TRUMP THIS!

TRUMP THIS! It could refer to a card game, the sound an elephant makes, a trumpet, a flatulent and….(Yup, the etymology of the word “trump” includes all these meanings) You decide what “trump” means to you. How does the word “trump” make you feel?

What better way to convey feelings than through artistic expression? This pop up exhibit seeks to provide an impartial, non-judgmental, non-partisan, peaceful venue for artistic expression of how people interpret and feel about the word “trump".

Hosted by: Marin Society of Artists (as a fundraiser to celebrate our 90th Anniversary!)
Registration Begins: January 1, 2018 -and continues until we run out of space
Exhibit Dates: May 18 – May 20, 2018 (Friday – Sunday)
Installation: May 18 between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. (Friday)
Reception: May 19 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. (Saturday)
Eligibility: Open to all
Suggested Donation: $10 per entry, payable by May 18 (donations of any amounts are gratefully accepted)
Pickup: May 20 between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.

REGISTER EARLY: To register, email: shows@msartists.org. Please show “Trump This” in the subject line. Provide your name, estimated number of works you will exhibit and estimated size. This helps space planning & allow us to communicate with you going forward.

TO DONATE: Your donation can be paid online at: DONATE or by cash or check mailed or delivered to our address

TO DISPLAY YOUR WORK: You will hang and install your own work with oversight by our volunteers. You may use our hanging equipment, pedestals, tables, etc. You may NOT USE tape, nails or other non-removable adhesives. You may use Command Strips (available online & at office supply stores) which are removable, and fishing line (filament). Please make sure your work is properly wired. Bring your own title cards if you want them. If you choose to sell your work, that is between you and your buyer.
