CALL TO GRAPHIC DESIGNERS: Request for Proposals for Website ReDesign and Development
The Sonoma-Mendocino Economic Development District (SMEDD) is initiating a Request for Proposal (RFP) process to identify a vendor qualified to plan, execute, and deliver an ADA-compliant website for SMEDD built on the WordPress platform.
SMEDD requires a vendor who has demonstrated experience in managing website projects and expertise with best practices regarding successful website architecture, design, development, and deployment.
SMEDD seeks a vendor that will provide a dedicated Project Manager, messaging strategist, UI/UX designer(s), and expert WP developer(s) for the following services:
- Project Core Elements:
o Research and discovery, including kick-off meeting
o Client portal that acts as a one-stop shop for the project team, schedule, creative index, additions to the project and more - Content and Messaging
o Brand exploration and key messaging
o Content development
o Training on how to use the website - Website Core Features:
o Design process (sitemap, wireframes, moodboards and style guide, and mockups) built on the WordPress platform
o Responsive design and development so the site works on mobile and desktop devices
o Best practices in code for Search Engine Optimization
o Header/footer, home page, and core page builder elements - Website Pages:
o 4-6 key pages (i.e. About Us,Goals and Objectives, Board Documents, Contact, etc...)
o Social media Integration - Advanced features that integrate with the whole site or key features:
o Multi-language options
o General site announcement
o Mailing list sign-up integration and/or form
o Compliance with ADA and Cookies (GDPR and CCPA) - Launch
o Quality assurance and testing across multiple browsers and devices
o Verify: sitemap.xml, Google Analytics, 301 redirects, forms
o Server/DNS configurations and customer support
o Launch the website - Optional Ongoing Services:
o Hosting
o WordPress Software Updates
o Monthly retainers for design or development needs
The projected budget for the redesign and launch is between $25,000 and $35,000.
