Yuerba Buena Center for the Arts (YBCA) will soon be accepting proposals from within Solano County and Sonoma County for the Artist Power Convenings, a new community investment strategy to build the capacity of artists and artist-led organizations in service of their communities.

With the Artist Power Convenings, YBCA wants to support artists getting together, virtually or in-person, to imagine, create, and lift up each other across our region. As the first initiative of its kind at YBCA, the program will continue to evolve in order to better serve Bay Area artists and artist-led organizations.

Who should apply?

Artists and artist-led organizations seeking opportunities to fuel their ability to host a convening (or series of convenings!) that brings artists and their communities together to connect and share knowledge, ideas, inspiration, and resources.

Program at a glance:

Applicants may apply for up to $2,500 in support of their convening(s), with priority being given to American Indian and Alaska Native, Asian and Asian American, Black and African American, Disabled, Indigenous and Indigena, Latinx, LGBTQIA2S+, MENASA, and Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander artists and artist led-organizations. Organizations primarily led by artists from these groups that have an annual operating budget of $250,000 or less will also be prioritized.
