NPAF is now offering FOUR summer Hawaii Volcanoes National Park residencies convenient to the Volcanoes and Crater, and to the some of the best beaches on the island. For a one-month term in June 2019. The artist gets $2000 stipend, housing, Manta Ray Adventure and much more.....

Open to Families, Single Artists, Artist Couples, artist collective or arts troupes.

With a possible Public Presentation at the Park, and a separate studio space in or near the Park. Vehicle required. Manta Ray Experience included. Possible public workshop to be given by the Resident in Volcano. The artist(s) will also have the opportunity to offer a public event at Volcano Art Center during their Hawaii Volcanoes National Park Artist in Residence term.

Accommodations in a 3-bedroom, 3-bath house less than 30 miles away from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and close to our amazing Green and Black Sand Beaches.

We are excited to continue our artist-in-residence program at Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park. The Park boundaries include two legendary and sacred volcanoes, Kilauea and Mauna Loa, as well as rainforests and mysterious and ever-changing active lava flows. This is a unique dramatic environment for all artistic media to flourish and to inspire new breakthroughs in process and result.

The artist in residence will be granted lodging, $2000 stipend, and a venue for at least one Public Presentation of a workshop, lecture, concert or other public engagements, as per proposal.
