di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art is hiring for the following positions:

 

ART + NATURE INSTRUCTOR
CLASSIFICATION: Part-time hourly, non-exempt
RATE: $30/hour
SUMMARY

Join the team as a di Rosa Art & Nature Instructor for our summer camps! We are hiring assistants for all weeks of Camp di Rosa. Summer camp weeks are June 20 – 24, June 27 – July 1, July 11 – 15, and July 18 – 22.
Art & Nature Instructors report to the Deputy Director and Director of Education and are responsible for providing quality visual arts and nature instruction at di Rosa and its community partner sites. The position works with staff to design exciting and innovative lessons that are fun, informative, and inspire the creative potential in participants. Visual art lessons utilize media such as painting, clay and printmaking, and are generated from artworks and ideas on view at di Rosa; nature lessons involve activities such as bird watching, hiking, plant and flower identification.

CLASSIFICATION: Part-time hourly, non-exempt
RATE: $18/hour
SUMMARY
Join the team as a di Rosa Art & Nature Assistant for our summer camps! We are hiring assistants for all weeks of Camp di Rosa. Summer camp weeks are June 20 – 24, June 27 – July 1, July 11 – 15, and July 18 – 22.
Art & Nature Assistants report to the Deputy Director and Director of Education and are supervised by the Art & Nature Instructor. Assistants are responsible for helping Instructors with visual art and nature lessons, camper supervision and group management. The position works with staff to ensure the smooth and safe implementation of exciting and innovative lessons that are fun, informative, and inspire the creative potential in participants. Visual art lessons utilize media such as painting, clay and printmaking, and are generated from artworks and ideas on view at di Rosa; nature lessons involve activities such as bird watching, hiking, plant and flower identification.

 

VISITOR SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE
CLASSIFICATION: Part-time, hourly, non-exempt

RATE: $20/hour

WORKDAYS: Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays (days vary)

SUMMARY

The Visitor Services Representative reports to the Manager of Visitor Services and is primarily responsible for providing a welcoming presence and excellent customer service for visitors to di Rosa. Critical areas of responsibility include collecting admission by using a point-of-sale software system and providing a general orientation for visitors (including, upon request and as necessary, rules, site logistics, tour details, and organization information). The position requires flexibility to step into any Visitor Services responsibility as needed including Gallery 1 Reception, Gallery 2 Attendant, and Shuttle Driver.
