The Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center seeks to fill the position of Development/Membership Coordinator. This position will report to the Membership Director.

Responsibilities
The Development/Membership Coordinator will be responsible for implementing and maintaining online donation/renewal software, creating year-end, tribute and general campaigns. Initiate outreach for new prospects and assists with exhibit sponsorship, performing associated administrative duties associated with membership and group tours and coordinate and work events. Position is approximately 50% development, 40% membership and 10% adult group tours and events.

Additional responsibilities include, but not limited to, traveling to local offsite events, generating and sending monthly communications, tracking RSVP’s, corporate and individual membership renewals, speaking with corporate and lapsed members, entering group tour information and leading tours.

Skills and Abilities
Broad working knowledge Sonoma County and Bay Area a plus, knowledge of file and data management techniques used in museum membership, the ability to develop sales strategies for recruiting new members and sponsorships, a self-starter with flexibility and a willingness to get the job done, strong interpersonal, communication and written skills a must, working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs, proven ability with internet mining for leads, ability to manage multiple project simultaneously and demonstrate leadership skills while working effectively with others.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are a Bachelor’s degree/coursework or similar with an emphasis in Archival Studies or minimum 5 years direct work experience in related archival discipline including some management experience.

Benefits and Compensation
This is a regular full-time position with hours of work Monday through Friday for a total of 40 hours per week. This is a non-exempt position with an hourly wage between $16.00 – $19.00 based on experience. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Physical demands include the ability to lift 40 pounds. The Museum provides health and retirement plan benefits.
