Manager of Individual Giving and Donor Relations
Marin Shakespeare Company seeks a to help the organization achieve the “next level” of growth while building a permanent home base for the performing arts in San Rafael that will serve as a cultural and educational resource for generations to come. A new position in the organization, the Manager will have the opportunity to build the development function in partnership with the Managing Director. This role offers an opportunity for a mid-career professional to gain experience running a successful capital campaign and managing a Major Gifts program.
The Manager is responsible for effective planning and execution of individual fundraising campaigns and events under the guidance of the Managing Director. The successful candidate is an effective project manager, passionate friend and fund-raiser, effective communicator, motivated self-starter and solution-seeker, and a collaborator who believes in the central role of fundraising to advance Marin Shakespeare’s mission and future potential. The ideal person will collaborate well with MSC’s team of artists, educators, community volunteers, community leaders, and funders who are deeply committed to the organization’s mission and potential to serve the Marin community and beyond. This person will have skills to manage volunteers, coordinate with other staff members, organize events, strategize about campaigns, and represent the company enthusiastically to funders and prospects.
