SoCo Music Coalition, a 501(c)3 non-profit music education center, is currently seeking Vocal, Bass, Guitar and Drum instructors.

Music Instructor Job Description:
-Plan individual lessons and overall schemes of work for your students;
-Teach individual and/or group lessons, usually incorporating elements of general musicianship, such as ear training and theory, as well as instrumental technique and interpretation, and collaboration;
-Develop your knowledge of materials and repertoire for students at different stages of their musical development;
-Communicate with parents about their child's lessons and progress;
-Work with other staff on performances for your students, including (but not limited to) preparation, equipment transport and setup, logistics;
-Ensure that you adhere to health and safety standards and work in line with child protection legislation;
-Complete administrative tasks as required by management;
-Reliable, focused and punctual for lessons, meetings and events;
-Professional and courteous; sets positive tone for students, parents and staff;
-Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
-Musical competence and knowledge of your instrument(s);
-Natural ability to relate well with children, maintaining both their enthusiasm for learning and their respect as a role model;
-A commitment to, and understanding of, the teaching and learning process;
-Experience in collaborative music projects;
-Experience performing music for live audiences;
-Desire to share your passion for music with the next generation of musicians;
-Must pass criminal background check
