PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Writers Camp

Sonoma County Writers Camp is offering a special local's rate to Sonoma County residents for their October five day retreat.

Enjoy all the workshops, events, readings, hikes, yoga, community and all meals (great food!) for $1595, instead of $2195. The only difference: you stay home at night and spend your days with us at Bishops Ranch in Healdsburg.

The theme for this retreat is Make a Scene! Stories are made of scenes. What are scenes made of? Must every scene have conflict, change, an arc? What makes a scene great, gripping? By popular demand, this camp session will be another workshop. Each attendee will submit one scene of up to 1000 words, and we will examine these as a basis for understanding the interplay of setting, dialog, actions, and reactions that make powerful scenes. Leave with a clear understanding of how to create the dynamic, dramatic scenes that will carry your story. October 24- 28, 2022
