PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Risk and Insurance Basics for Creative Businesses and Nonprofits
Is your business, your artwork, or your nonprofit protected and prepared for an emergency, disaster, or other risks?
MARCH 9 HEALTH CONSIDERATIONS UPDATE: We are planning on proceeding with these workshops: in order to keep this a safe, comfortable experience for everyone, please do not attend if you have cold or flu symptoms. Also, this workshop takes place in the Center’s Dining Room which has plenty of room to spread out – we will wipe down the surfaces with disinfecting wipes before each workshop begins.
Explore risk and insurance basics for your business or organization with Chad Fillinger with Fillinger Insurance Agency (Petaluma). Chad will discuss how to best to protect your business (including sole proprietors, aka individual artists and creators) or nonprofit organization, and review and discuss needs and coverages suggested or required for your entity.

PRESENTER: Chad Fillinger, Fillinger Insurance Agency
Chad was born and raised in Petaluma, is a graduate of Santa Clara University and is a former Minor League pitcher who retired in 2008 after 4 years in the Seattle Mariners organization. After a 4 year stint with Cal Fire, California’s State Fire Department, Chad began looking for a new professional path. When the opportunity arose to join a private broker, he was ready to make the transition to the world of insurance. After spending almost 3 years diving head first into the world of insurance, Chad fulfilled his dream of starting his own agency and joined forces with his dad, Steve, in the family business. Chad stays involved in the community by spending his time as a coach with the Casa Grande High School Baseball team and is an active member of the Petaluma Rotary Club. Chad likes to spend his time away from the office traveling to two of his favorite locations, Lake Tahoe and Hawaii, with his wife, Mary, their daughter, Reese, and son, Warren.
