Rebooting Your Residency

Thursday, August 9, 2018

Luther Burbank Center for the Arts, 50 Mark West Springs Road, Santa Rosa, CA 95403

Workshop Leader: Melanie Rick, Kennedy Center National Teaching Artist

For Teaching Artists

Max. number of participants: 30

Rebooting Your Residency is designed for artists interested in taking your art into the classroom with students of all ages. No matter your experience, this workshop will overview an arts-integrated classroom lesson and residency design plan and set you up for your next steps—from design to implementation to marketing. After an overview of planning, you will participate in and unpack lessons designed by your colleagues and network with fellow artists in this professional learning community. A light breakfast will be provided.

Space is limited so please RSVP by FRIDAY, JULY 13 to tsawyer@lutherburbankcenter.org if you are able to join us. Feel free to share this invitation with other artists who might be interested in learning more.

Note: For artists who participated in the LBC’s Kennedy Center training with Sean Layne in January, you have the opportunity to schedule a one-on-one meeting time with Melanie Rick in the afternoon.
