The Community Arts Education Leadership Institute (CAELI)

The Community Arts Education Leadership Institute (CAELI) provides an intensive, transformative experience through which current and aspiring leaders advance their skills by engaging with top leadership trainers and nationally known practitioners.

CAELI is ideally suited for those already in, or preparing to move into, a leadership role at a tax-exempt non-profit organization within the community arts education field.

The eight-month program includes both group and personalized training, a five-day seminar (July 24-28) at Bryn Mawr College in Philadelphia, PA, a 360-degree feedback process, peer mentoring, and follow-up coaching. In addition, CAELI participants become part of a powerful, supportive alumni network of arts education leaders across the country.

CAELI will increase your leadership effectiveness by helping you:

Identify your core values and learn how these influence behavior and decision making
Increase awareness of the characteristics of effective leadership
Deepen your understanding of your strengths, weaknesses, and preferences
Identify and examine your own biases, power, and privilege
Create a plan to identify and meet your developmental goals in terms of organizational leadership, interpersonal communication, and functional management proficiency
Put your plan into practice back home

To optimize the learning experience, participation is limited to 26 individuals selected through a competitive application process.
