Adrian Litman Art & Design Creative Design, Decorative Arts, Visual Arts Born in 1948, I started to learn about art at a very early age, playing with colors and art materials in my father's Art Design and Restoration studio. In 1964, I was accepted into the Fine Arts High School N. Tonitza in Bucharest, Romania where I studied art techniques including drawing, painting, graphics, engraving, sculpture, fresco, mosaic and ceramics. After finishing the Fine Art High School, I attended the University of Bucharest Art Institute, graduating in 1974 with a Master’s degree in Graphic Arts Design. Since 1980 when I relocated to California, I worked as a Graphic Designer and Art Director in the San Francisco Bay Area until 2002 when I retired from the corporate world and started Adrian Litman Art & Design Studio. I create an eclectic body of commissioned art pieces for Civic Public Art, Corporate and private clients, including custom paintings, murals, frescoes, mosaics, sculptures, stained glass panels, fountains and wall treatments, all of which facilitate the harmonious integration of art with architecture. State of California, Licensed Architect State of New York, Registered Architect Autocad & Certified Professional Member: Marin Women at Work Member: Marin Builders Association A 1982 graduate of the University of Michigan, with master’s degrees in both architecture and urban planning, Sharon has 30 years of design and architecture experience. With her Manhattan-based firm, Sharon Kovalsky Associates, she has worked on a wide variety of residential and commercial projects, from apartment renovations to restaurant and office design. In 2013, Sharon created AplosGroup, a Marin County-based firm offering complete architectural design services. Her aesthetic focuses on respecting the natural environment and incorporating its beauty and simplicity into her work, always keeping her clients’ needs at the center of design. As a specialist in green design and modern architecture, Sharon has a deep understanding of the design opportunities and challenges these present, and works with other area specialists to source authentic yet efficient materials that respect the integrity of these architectural jewels. Sharon has taught architecture and interior design at several design schools, including the Pratt Institute, the Fashion Institute of Technology, and the New York Institute of Technology.

Our mission is to provide mentoring and stimulating arts work experience for Sonoma County youth, while creating publicly and privately commissioned art for our community. WE PROVIDE TRAINING We hire young people ages 14-20 to apprentice under the mentorship of professional artists. Creative director Ginny Laughlin has worked as a graphic and web designer in the Bay Area for 25 years, and designed the online presence for both the Marin Watershed Program and Sonoma Land Trust for many years. In her work designing for other environmental organizations, as well as wineries, music venues, and small businesses, she tries to make a difference in her community. She currently serves on the Graphic Design Advisory Board at Santa Rosa Community College. Working with environmental organizations is a passion. Ginny taught graphic design for 13 years at Otis Art Institute, Cal Arts, and CSU Northridge. Chalk Hill Artist Residency is a unique opportunity for artists across mediums to work and stay at the beautiful Warnecke Ranch and Vineyard.

The program is located in Sonoma County, an hour and a half north of San Francisco. Artists from a diverse range of abilities and geographical locations are able to find the space and time needed to pursue creative work. Chalk Hill Artist Residency offers the use of the artist house, studio space, and access to the ranch property. The property's oak woodlands, hiking trails, vineyards, and private access to the Russian River are sources of inspiration for residents

Founded in 2010, Chalk Hill Residency is inspired by the vision of the late John Carl Warnecke, internationally renowned architect (1919-2010). In 1983, he laid out plans for an art colony on his 280-acre property near the town of Healdsburg, bordering the Russian River. He established a 501c3 non-profit and began a master plan for the property to fulfill his vision: that artists could live and work together in what he deemed as the most beautiful place in the world.

Our community partnerships allow us to work closely with organizations that support artists with disabilities to participate in studio days at the residency. Studio days bring together our current artist in residence and artists with disabilities to spend an afternoon in the studio together. This creates a space where artists across a spectrum of ability are able to create authentic human connection through art, celebrate individual ways of artistic expression, and foster creativity. Since 2010, the studio program has proven to be nationally recognized and has been enthusiastically received by participants.

Creative North Group Arts Council/Alliance, Creative Design, Literature/Poetry, Performing Arts, Visual Arts Creative North Group is a collective of independent artists, writers, and communications strategists working as community activists to fuel the written, visual and performing arts in West County. Seeded with the generous help from Creative Sonoma, CNG's newest project, the FLATBED MUSIC FESTIVAL, (originally slated for June of 2020) is moving down the road to new dates when limitations on live music gatherings are lifted. The Flatbed features Sonoma-grown, independent musical artists who perform on multiple stages over three days. This intimate festival bonds the community, saturating the streets of the farm town of Sebastopol while bleeding into the back roads of West County. With over twenty performances, the Flatbed will reach out further to embrace the uniqueness of West County through oral history recordings and tours of legendary recording studios. Play It Forward Music School is the fiscal sponsor of the festival. Through sponsorships, grants and ticket sales of the Flatbed, this non-profit will be able to expand on their mission to provide free musical instruments, free private lessons and creative programs devoted to serve those music students with limited resources in our community.

Ipolani Bovee is a native Hawaiian artist born in Salt Lake City, Utah. Ipolani has demonstrated an eloquent talent in her pursuit of art focusing on watercolor, digital art, as well as pen and ink. Her artistry consists of a profusion of personal expression, art for art’s sake and the natural world around her.

Her influence of personal experiences and environment have allowed her to transcend in her talent of line drawing, hatching, shading, stippling and blending techniques.

She is married with 3 children and currently resides in Sonoma County, California where she owns and operates KO Studio Art and Tattoo.
