Materials All Adelle Stoll goods are made using supreme materials specifically chosen for their quality and durability. Using the finest oil tanned leathers sourced from the United States, leather is hand cut to create stylish pieces, designed for years of use. 100% German wool felt in vibrant, saturated colors and hand fabricated brass rods and hardware define Adelle Stoll’s original designs. Meet Adelle Stoll Ever since Adelle can remember she’s had an active mind filled with creative ideas. Bored by high school academics, she found her niche in theater arts courses and at 16 performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC. Discovering that traditional academics weren’t for her, Adelle charted her own course with entrepreneurial thinking built around creativity. A child of the 70s who watched American manufacturing disappear, Adelle wanted to give people a place to shop for quality products that weren’t made in China. The answer? She opened The Silo, a Sonoma County shop carrying modern artisan goods, all made in America. At the helm of The Silo, Adelle saw an opportunity to fill a void. Many trendy handbags were overly adorned and cheaply made. With poor quality materials made by machines only, these mass produced bags didn’t jive with Adelle or her clientele. By virtue of meeting her customers at the shop, Adelle received immediate feedback and refined the designs that are now her trademark style. After a successful stint, Adelle closed The Silo to focus on expanding her product lines. If Adelle hadn’t discovered her inner theater geek years ago, she might have dropped out of high school. Reaching troubled teens is a cause close to her heart that has morphed into a business strategy. Adelle dreams of hiring foster children who’ve aged out of the system. She wants to give them an opportunity to learn a trade and access their creativity. Teens could be taught pattern making, design thinking, or marketing, while learning about personal integrity through responsibility. Her ultimate goal? For each teenager to look beyond personal circumstances and believe in their potential. So many ideas, it’s surprising she sleeps. Adelle creates new original designs and wearable art every season. Producing small batches of handcrafted bags and jewelry are just the beginning. Currently in the design pipeline are modern women’s shoes, men’s accessories, and minimalist home decor items; all designed and handcrafted by Adelle Stoll in Sonoma County, California.

At BI, we realize that creative expression is an integral part of the human experience. The BI Professional Art Program fulfills this commitment to exploring and developing personal creativity by providing artists with inspiration, instruction, encouragement, and opportunities for exhibitions and sales.

We focus on offering our artists the opportunity to explore multiple mediums for their creative growth. Our classes also include community trips to museums, galleries, and special events to assist in further enrichment of the arts.

In October of 2016 we acquired a studio/gallery space at Fulton Crossing Artist Studios. We are thrilled for this opportunity for our artists to be able to work side by side with other local artists. BI’s professional artists, as well as other individuals active in BI's Innovative Education program, will be able to use this as a community access spot to expand their creative passions. Fulton Crossing affords BI a space for art sales, special events, and is at the center of Sonoma County’s vibrant art culture.

Chalk Hill Artist Residency is a unique opportunity for artists across mediums to work and stay at the beautiful Warnecke Ranch and Vineyard.

The program is located in Sonoma County, an hour and a half north of San Francisco. Artists from a diverse range of abilities and geographical locations are able to find the space and time needed to pursue creative work. Chalk Hill Artist Residency offers the use of the artist house, studio space, and access to the ranch property. The property's oak woodlands, hiking trails, vineyards, and private access to the Russian River are sources of inspiration for residents

Founded in 2010, Chalk Hill Residency is inspired by the vision of the late John Carl Warnecke, internationally renowned architect (1919-2010). In 1983, he laid out plans for an art colony on his 280-acre property near the town of Healdsburg, bordering the Russian River. He established a 501c3 non-profit and began a master plan for the property to fulfill his vision: that artists could live and work together in what he deemed as the most beautiful place in the world.

Our community partnerships allow us to work closely with organizations that support artists with disabilities to participate in studio days at the residency. Studio days bring together our current artist in residence and artists with disabilities to spend an afternoon in the studio together. This creates a space where artists across a spectrum of ability are able to create authentic human connection through art, celebrate individual ways of artistic expression, and foster creativity. Since 2010, the studio program has proven to be nationally recognized and has been enthusiastically received by participants.

Chop's Teen Club Association/Club/Group/Guild, Education, Film/Video, Fine Crafts, Interior Design, Media, Music, Visual Arts Chop’s Art Studio exposes teen members to a wide range of creative activities and opportunities. Through open studio time, workshops and classes, teens experience art disciplines such as hand built and wheel thrown ceramics, sewing and knitting, painting, drawing and construction. The Art Studio staff members are always available for help with projects. We are dedicated to promoting a vast variety of affordable activities that foster creativity in a fun artistic atmosphere.

ECOSTRUCTION Association/Club/Group/Guild, Business, Decorative Arts, Environmental, Fine Crafts, Interior Design Since 1996, Ecostruction has been designing, building and planning sustainable commercial and residential buildings. These include New and remodeled residences and commercial building such as wineries, retail shops, and manufacturing facilities. We currently pride ourselves in limiting construction debris and/or recycling the waste to a remarkable 85% or higher. We use FAS certified framing materials, Eterna Block (formally called RASTRA) , Bamcore bamboo plywood, strawbale and rammed earth building products. We install solar PV and solar heated hotwater in almost all of our designs. and, to date, we have not installed a single A/C unit into the house we have built. This is due to the high thermal mass of our buildings. In 2010 we constructed the most pointed LEED platinum home in the Nation.

Escolar is an art and design research collective working at the intersection of regenerative agriculture and cultural production within an anti-capitalist and de-colonial framework.

We maintain a curatorial practice and an exhibition venue, a residency with production facilities and support, provide design and fabrication support for local activists and maintain a one-acre experimental farm with an emphasis on native flora.

ImageWorkx.us Fine Crafts, Visual Arts Practically born with a camera in his hand in 1949, Bill Theis started his own photography business at the age of 16 doing portrait, wedding, and commercial photography. Besides being employed as photojournalist for the local newspaper and high school annual, he lettered in Football, not as a player but as the team movie photographer! During these years, Bill was living on a Texas farm where his creative side was nurtured by many abstract images of farm implements and old buildings. His interest in photography never waned while he attended college and post-graduate school, culminating in a PhD in Physics. He then purchased his first view camera when he moved to Ohio, where he photographed the Midwest, the Appalachian Mountains, and Canada which were complemented with annual trips west of the Rockies that began in 1966 and continue to this day. Bill retired from Federal Civil Service and relocated to Sonoma wine country in 2011. Bill’s photographs from over 50 years of dedication to photography can be found internationally in private collections and was selected for inclusion in the permanent collection of the Shanghai Public Library. You can still find Bill out in the wilderness getting excited by the forms he sees in nature.

Moonlight Quilters of Sonoma County is an active Non-Profit (501c3) Guild that meets bi-monthly to promote the art of quilting to all ages. Our gatherings include demonstrations, lectures, workshops and showing off the amazing quilts we have made. We have been very active in the community delivering quilts, teddy bears, pillowcases and toys to not only survivors of “The 2017 Fires” but for many years have participated in donating comfort quilts and toys to the needs of children in the greater Santa Rosa area. Our members continually reach out to young children and elderly in the community with quilting instruction and supplies.

The first weekend of June each year we sponsor the Wine Country Quilt Show & Sale at the SR Veteran's Memorial Building with over 300 quilts, vendors, a boutique of handmade crafts and a featured artist.
