Sonoma County is home to more than 200 non-profit arts organizations along with 100s of other creative enterprises who work every day to enrich our lives with exhibits, performances, readings, happenings.  Sometimes, they are caretakers of our collective cultural identity.  Sometimes they are tour guides, leading us on an exploration into uncharted emotional waters.  And always, they are the critical threads that tie together the fabric of our creative community.  Browse this ever-growing gathering of our creative eco-system for ideas and opportunities.

Tika & the Moonshines is a versatile North Bay band led by Tika Moon. They tackle some of the most difficult and fun songs from the 1930’s to the present, covering popular songs in a variety of genres: Rock, Pop, County, Americana, Folk, Blues, Showtunes & Jazz. With powerhouse vocals and tight harmonies, Tika & the Moonshines bring you the songs you remember and love, along with fun original songs. With such a huge variety of tunes, there is bound to be something for everyone to enjoy. Tika & the Moonshines have an authentic chemistry and joy that is apparent in all their performances. We want YOU to have a great time, so come party with us! Tika & the Moonshines has the ability to accommodate smaller venues as well as large events and parties. Need a solo artist, a duo, trio or a full band? We have got you covered. With a diverse song list we can cater the set to your liking! Tika Moon heads up the Moonshines on lead vocals and rhythm guitar. She is backed by some stellar musicians and an all around wonderful group of people.  Starting in November of 2022, Tika has added new performers and filled out the band to accommodate larger gigs with Isabelle McLoone on vocals, Anthony Williams on lead guitar, Tyler Crowley on drums and the incredible Alan Roter on lead guitar, bass, organ and more!  Tika has had the pleasure of working with many other incredibly talented performers over the years including Molly Larsen-Shine, Matthew Witthaus, Liz Fanora, Rob Wegner, Chris Newton,  and Nappi Madrid.
Tika Moon - singer/songwriter
Tika Moon - Singer/songwriter Music, Performing Arts, School, Special Events, Theatre Tika Moon is a Bay Area performer (singer, actor, and musician) performing in this area since 1996. Inspired by many different genres, Tika makes classic hit songs into her own renditions, as well as writing her own original songs about dating, life, food, and female empowerment. Her influences are shown in her theatricality and comedy as she harnesses the likes of the Flight of The Conchords, Tenacious D and Phoebe from Friends. Tika Moon is a trained professional singer with an emphasis in theatre, guitar, dance, flute, piano, and ukulele.  Tika can seamlessly go from jazz, to blues, to belting out a rock song or singing an Italian Aria. With almost 30 years of performing experience, a 3 octave range, a variety of music genres, Tika has created her own unique style of performance. Tika sometimes performs with her band, Tika & the Moonshines which features other local Sonoma County artists. Some of her favorite artists to cover include Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Whitney Houston, Brandi Carlile, The Beatles, Clare Bowen, Madonna, Lionel Ritchie, Prince, Heart, Melody Gardot, and Britney Spears to name a few. In her spare time, Tika performs locally in the theatre world at 6th Street Playhosue, The Raven Performing Arts Center, Spreckels Performing Arts, Cloverdale Performing Arts,  and Sonoma Arts Live.  You can occasionally find her singing at Senior Living Facilities, wineries and bars. By day Tika is an accounting supervisor and is also a music teacher at Art & Soul School for the Creative Arts in Santa Rosa. Tika is available for private events and weddings and more! This year’s season includes Broadway performers from The Book Of Mormon, Wicked, Les Miserables, 42nd Street, Hairspray, Mary Poppins, Mamma Mia and more. Trompin' Manikins
Trompin' Manikins Association/Club/Group/Guild, Festivals/Markets, Fine Crafts, Performing Arts, Special Events, Visual Arts Trompin' Manikins is a collective of pageant puppet makers and performers. Our large puppets have performed both locally in Sonoma County at such events as Winterblast, and the Petaluma Rivertown Revival as well as Burnal Equinox in San Francisco and Honk Fest in Seattle. We can often be found performing with the Hubbub Club.
Valley of the Moon Music Festival
Valley Of The Moon Music Festival Education, Festivals/Markets, Holidays Shop Local, Music, Nonprofit, Performing Arts Membership or Season Tickets, Special Events The mission of the Valley of the Moon Music Festival is to bring the unique sound of Classical, Romantic and post-Romantic chamber music on period instruments to audiences in Sonoma and beyond, and to expand the horizons of up-and-coming chamber musicians in our Apprenticeship and TANK Trust Laureate Programs. Each July, in the town of Sonoma, in a series of concerts over three weekends, we bring an international roster of experts in period performance together with highly talented emerging artists to bring a familiar repertoire into a brilliant new light. The concert experience is enhanced by the very popular Blattner Lecture Series that puts the listening experience into historical and cultural perspective. In our Apprentice and TANK Trust Laureate Programs, we mentor emerging musicians, helping to ensure that period performance of Classical and Romantic music will continue to delight audiences far into the future. Our Festival was conceived and born in Sonoma, and Sonoma is at the center of our artistic efforts. We are honored to have a thriving and ongoing relationship with the local community through partnerships with local businesses, other non-profits, and community leaders.
