Creative North Group Arts Council/Alliance, Creative Design, Literature/Poetry, Performing Arts, Visual Arts Creative North Group is a collective of independent artists, writers, and communications strategists working as community activists to fuel the written, visual and performing arts in West County. Seeded with the generous help from Creative Sonoma, CNG's newest project, the FLATBED MUSIC FESTIVAL, (originally slated for June of 2020) is moving down the road to new dates when limitations on live music gatherings are lifted. The Flatbed features Sonoma-grown, independent musical artists who perform on multiple stages over three days. This intimate festival bonds the community, saturating the streets of the farm town of Sebastopol while bleeding into the back roads of West County. With over twenty performances, the Flatbed will reach out further to embrace the uniqueness of West County through oral history recordings and tours of legendary recording studios. Play It Forward Music School is the fiscal sponsor of the festival. Through sponsorships, grants and ticket sales of the Flatbed, this non-profit will be able to expand on their mission to provide free musical instruments, free private lessons and creative programs devoted to serve those music students with limited resources in our community.

Daniels Media Alliance Business, Business Services, Media, Product/Industrial Design, Publishing/Printing, Sports/Outdoors, Visual Arts Born in San Francisco, I grew up in Lucas Valley (Marin County) 15 years then lived in Hopewell, New Jersey (between Princeton and Trenton) for 3 years finishing high school. After graduation, chose to live in Bozeman, Montana (close to Yellowstone National Park and the Big Sky Ski Resort) 5 years, attending Montana State University, earning degrees. Following graduation, I lived in Terra Linda (Marin County) for 6 years, continuing Multimedia studies, working. I lived in Santa Rosa, of Sonoma County, the "Heart of the Wine Country" for ten years, working and attending a quality college for additional post-graduate studies. After obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Business (Marketing Option) along with a Minor in Communication from MSU, I broadened my education studying visual media (Computer Art, Applied Graphics, Desktop Publishing, Art, Multimedia, and web design) at Santa Rosa Junior College and College of Marin, while working. I have expanded my knowledge of various programs that are applicable to corporate establishments and gained additional skill and knowledge of Multimedia and HTML, in pursuit of an occupation that relates to promotion, advertising or marketing. My skills lie toward doing business in establishments that relate to visual media. Proficient with marketing and the composition of computer graphics on different platforms, we have ability to relate thoughts to a context to influence customers.

We create inclusive space for connection and self-expression through the arts. We offer a community integrated, person-centered program, utilizing art as the medium to improve lives. De Colores Arts was formed to enliven the intrinsic motivation of neurodiverse participants through their engagement with each other and through artistic means. Our team is comprised of artists, therapists and educators. In 2023 De Colores Arts is thrilled to expand its presence from the South Bay/ San Francisco/ Marin to Sonoma and Napa counties! Our goal is to be accessible across communities, regional centers, and organizations that provide social and vocational services to those of all abilities. With this, we address the fundamental human right to an inclusive, connected, and joyful life.

Escolar is an art and design research collective working at the intersection of regenerative agriculture and cultural production within an anti-capitalist and de-colonial framework.

We maintain a curatorial practice and an exhibition venue, a residency with production facilities and support, provide design and fabrication support for local activists and maintain a one-acre experimental farm with an emphasis on native flora.

Having solid working relationships with studios and producers, Factory VFX progresses forward with each new project and growing technologies. Factory VFX was born from artistic roots and has grown into a world-renowned Visual Effects boutique shop that has worked on over 150 feature films, television shows and commercials. Clients include Legendary, Columbia Pictures, Disney Pictures, New Line Cinema, Paramount Pictures, Universal Studios, and Twentieth Century Studios. Factory VFX studios are located in northern California in the heart of the Sonoma wine country and New Orleans, LA. FEF is run by a volunteer group of parents who are committed to helping the teachers and staff provide the most innovative and inspirational educational experience possible for the children of West Side.

His FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certificate supports capturing fresh aerial points of view. ImageWorkx.us Fine Crafts, Visual Arts Practically born with a camera in his hand in 1949, Bill Theis started his own photography business at the age of 16 doing portrait, wedding, and commercial photography. Besides being employed as photojournalist for the local newspaper and high school annual, he lettered in Football, not as a player but as the team movie photographer! During these years, Bill was living on a Texas farm where his creative side was nurtured by many abstract images of farm implements and old buildings. His interest in photography never waned while he attended college and post-graduate school, culminating in a PhD in Physics. He then purchased his first view camera when he moved to Ohio, where he photographed the Midwest, the Appalachian Mountains, and Canada which were complemented with annual trips west of the Rockies that began in 1966 and continue to this day. Bill retired from Federal Civil Service and relocated to Sonoma wine country in 2011. Bill’s photographs from over 50 years of dedication to photography can be found internationally in private collections and was selected for inclusion in the permanent collection of the Shanghai Public Library. You can still find Bill out in the wilderness getting excited by the forms he sees in nature.

In addition to producing local artistic showcase events we offer freelance consultation and event planning services. Jake Ward is the founder/director of multiple local arts enterprises including North Bay Cabaret, a monthly variety show series which occurs every third Friday at Whiskey Tip in Santa Rosa, and most recently, the Roseland Community Festival which debuts on Sunday October 1st. As an emcee, booker, and creative consultant, Jake Ward has worked with a number of local events and clients such as The Handcar Regatta, Railroad Square Music Festival, Rivertown Revival, Courthouse Square Festival, The Kinetic Carnivale, and many more.

Jennifer Gildred Art Visual Arts Formerly a Registered Art Therapist, I'm now enjoying spending all of my time working on my art. I work in acrylic and oil paint, mixed media, photography and sculpture. For the past several years, I've been focusing on my painting, primarily abstracts. Currently, I'm drawn to subtle fresco style subject matter. It allows me to focus on simple color washes and shapes in a way that feels meditative and grounding. When I'm not painting in my home studio near Annadel State Park, I'm walking the trails and connecting with nature, where I often find inspiration for my work. Ipolani Bovee is a native Hawaiian artist born in Salt Lake City, Utah. Ipolani has demonstrated an eloquent talent in her pursuit of art focusing on watercolor, digital art, as well as pen and ink. Her artistry consists of a profusion of personal expression, art for art’s sake and the natural world around her.

Her influence of personal experiences and environment have allowed her to transcend in her talent of line drawing, hatching, shading, stippling and blending techniques.

She is married with 3 children and currently resides in Cloverdale, California where she owns and operates KO Studio Art and Tattoo.
