Our gallery is artist owned and features the work of sixteen highly respected local artists, whose work is diverse in expression, mediums and styles. One of our artist/owners is always on hand to welcome you to the gallery. We are proud to be part of the vibrant and talented art community of Sonoma County. Centrally located on the Plaza in the heart of historic Healdsburg for over 25 years, the gallery is tucked away inside Levin and Co. Bookstore, next door to Downtown Bakery and Creamery. Within easy walking distance of the many fine dining, shopping and wine tasting experiences that make Healdsburg a wine country destination worldwide. Open daily 11am to 6pm.

Valley Of The Moon Music Festival Education, Festivals/Markets, Holidays Shop Local, Music, Nonprofit, Performing Arts Membership or Season Tickets, Special Events The mission of the Valley of the Moon Music Festival is to bring the unique sound of Classical, Romantic and post-Romantic chamber music on period instruments to audiences in Sonoma and beyond, and to expand the horizons of up-and-coming chamber musicians in our Apprenticeship and TANK Trust Laureate Programs. Each July, in the town of Sonoma, in a series of concerts over three weekends, we bring an international roster of experts in period performance together with highly talented emerging artists to bring a familiar repertoire into a brilliant new light. The concert experience is enhanced by the very popular Blattner Lecture Series that puts the listening experience into historical and cultural perspective. In our Apprentice and TANK Trust Laureate Programs, we mentor emerging musicians, helping to ensure that period performance of Classical and Romantic music will continue to delight audiences far into the future. Our Festival was conceived and born in Sonoma, and Sonoma is at the center of our artistic efforts. We are honored to have a thriving and ongoing relationship with the local community through partnerships with local businesses, other non-profits, and community leaders.

Valley Vibes Youth Orchestra Creative Sonoma Grantee, Education, Music, Nonprofit, School, Youth Arts Education Valley Vibes Orchestra is a youth enrichment program with a mission to change lives through music. Through learning and making music together, we inspire our members to believe that everyone has the power to change their life and succeed. Every school day youth in grades K-12 meet after school and participate in two hours of intensive, ensemble-based music lessons. Open to all students in Sonoma Valley, we are especially proud to offer our program to students who would not have the opportunity otherwise and currently 80% of our members come from low income households. Beyond engaging youth in building musical proficiency, ViVO is a youth development program based on best research-based practices. ViVO’s objectives are to foster (1) a sense of belonging and confidence; (2) youth voice and leadership ; (3) building skills and mastery in music ; and (4) community involvement and contribution. As such, our goals for ViVO members are not only to become proficient and engaged musicians, but also to develop life and social-emotional skills to succeed in school, community and life.

Walking Elephant Theatre Company creates innovative live documentary pieces for social and ecological healing. The original productions are created from conversations and interviews between youth and their community. They walk a mile in the shoes of their neighbors and then create original documentary plays about the elephant in the room. We believe that hearing each other’s stories awakens our compassion. After producing successful shows where stand-up comedians told their stories, former comic turned storyteller, Dave Pokorny sought to accommodate all those people who asked, “When can I tell my story?” And to encourage those people who doubted they had a story worth telling.

Western Hills Garden Decorative Arts, Education, Environmental, History/Heritage, Museum, Nonprofit, Visual Arts Founded in 1959, Western Hills Garden is a three-acre property in Occidental, CA with a critically important collection of rare ornamental plants and trees from around the world. It was transformed from pastureland and redwoods into an incredible example of cultivated biodiversity by Lester Hawkins and Marshall Olbrich. Over their 30+ year tenure they became experts in garden design and botany and inspired new ways of thinking about horticulture on the West Coast, with the garden as their studio, laboratory, and gathering space. More recent owners made key improvements that extended the Garden’s legacy. In September 2021, the property was purchased by Kent Strader and Hadley Dynak who are running it as a nonprofit (currently through a fiscal sponsorship) for the first time in its 60+ year history. Strategic goals are to preserve the collection, increase the public’s access to the garden, and create unique onsite experiences that link people, plants, and place with possibility. The public can engage via a range of programming: self-guided day visits, group tours, educational workshops, and artist residencies.
