Basic Shakespeare with Zach Hasbany

Program description

In this five week online course, Zachary will be introducing the basic poetic structure of Shakespeare’s works. He will cover elements such as iambic pentameter, prose, couplets and sonnets, and discover how they can help an actor find the action of a piece. Together, students will also dive into a monologue and scene and uncover their meaning, motivations, and more!
Zachary Hasbany is grateful to return to the Music to My Ears team to teach this class. He is a theatre teacher, acting coach, director, and actor who has worked around the country and Sonoma County. Most recently, he directed Cinnabar Theater’s production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and acted as Bill Sikes in 6th Street Playhouse’s Oliver! Zachary earned his MA in Theatre Education from the University of Northern Colorado and trained as an actor at PCPA: Pacific Conservatory Theatre.
