After School Play in Clay

After School Play in Clay

ART STRENGTHENS COMMUNITY!

Children have stories to tell that may be too hard or too abstract to express in verbal ways but can be communicated through artistic expression, through clay.

Our program is aligned with The California Arts Standards for Visual Arts.

We understand that social emotional learning and holistic health practices are necessary in providing transformative, educational experiences. We bring process based learning into your classroom, allowing children to create in ways that are meaningful to them.

We understand that teaching art through other artists is a great way to learn so we hire local artists to bring clay and other art mediums to your school. Our goal is to provide the tools in art to assist in the development of problem solving and critical thinking skills in a fun and creative learning environment.

All artists in the program are fully vetted to your school district’s requirements.

All students are given instruction by local artists, using tools appropriate to each medium. Each child is encouraged to make and create whatever they choose so that they may learn and grow at their own developmental rate.

Classes offered for grade levels K-12, available 2pm-6pm at school sites and for summer camps.

“After School Play in Clay brings critical thinking skills to kids in a fun and diverse learning environment. Children learn to solve their own problems by creating things that are fun and meaningful to them. This is a well-run program that both inspires and motivates children to enjoy learning.
