This 6-week workshop series uses the Amherst Writers & Artists (AWA) method with provocative prompts and positive feedback to bolster our creative practice. Participants find a safe environment in which to experiment and develop each writing voice.
The Amherst Writers & Artists (AWA) method defines a writer simply as someone who writes. Each 2.5-hour session follows several prompts to spark memory and imagination. Whenever writers choose to read their work aloud they get immediate, positive feedback. We focus on what is strong and memorable in our responses to support the development of each writer. All genres and experience levels are welcome! Space is limited.
Nicole R. Zimmerman is a 2019 recipient of the Discovered Awards for Emerging Literary Artists, produced by Creative Sonoma. She is an AWA affiliate, certified to facilitate workshops. Learn more about her 6-week workshop series at The Sitting Room and on Zoom.
Cost is $150 for the series; no drop-ins.
