Free Music Education Classes For K-5 to Take this Summer

Presented by Healdsburg Jazz at Online/Virtual Space

Jazz Village Virtual Summer Campus Now Open!

Healdsburg Jazz in collaboration with Music is First, commissioned five outstanding music educators to create 15 unique, innovative, and fun class videos for students K-5. They are short classes perfect for the summer. Each free class comes with a lesson plan that addresses Common Core Standards. They can be taken at any time, as many times as desired.

Healdsburg Jazz has adapted to the Stay at Home restrictions by creating a new Virtual Jazz Village Campus for K-5 students. It consists in FREE music classes for teachers and parents to use with their children. There is no limit to the number of times they can be taken. Online classes offer the opportunity to pause for breaks, rewind, and to repeat segments during the learning process.

In collaboration with Music is First, Healdsburg Jazz commissioned music educators Kim Agnew, Bryan Dyer, Ami Molinelli, MarĂa de la Rosa, and Keith Terry, to create 15 unique, innovative, and fun class videos. The classes include activities like bucket drumming, body percussion, Mexican son jarocho, music from New Orleans, and lots of singing and dancing. Each class comes with a lesson plan that address Common Core Standards.

Classes are FREE, and a simple registration is required in order to receive the access link. They are funded by a Creative Sonoma Cultural Arts Grant.
