Writing From Memory or Imagination

Writing From Memory or Imagination

Presented by Paper-Pencil-Pen at Zoom

The Amherst Writers & Artists (AWA) method defines a writer simply as someone who writes.  Each 2.5-hour session follows several prompts to spark memory and imagination. Whenever writers choose to read their work aloud they get immediate, supportive feedback. We focus on what is strong and memorable in our responses to support the development of each writer. All genres and experience levels are welcome! Space is limited.

Nicole R. Zimmerman was a 2019 recipient of the Discovered Awards for Emerging Literary Artists, produced by Creative Sonoma. She is an AWA affiliate, certified to facilitate workshops. Her work appears in literary journals and anthologies such as Under The Gum Tree, The Rumpus, Sonora Review, Hypertext Review, The Best Women's Travel Writing, and Creative Nonfiction. Learn more about her 6-week workshop series at The Sitting Room and on Zoom.
