One of our favorite guest artists, Las Cafeteras are Native and migrant children who are remixing roots music and telling modern day stories with what the LA Times has called a “uniquely Angeleno mishmash of punk, hip-hop, beat music, cumbia, and rock.”

Las Cafeteras own a genre-bending sound that grows from son jarocho with four versatile vocalists infusing rich lyrics with the hidden stories of migrant life in Los Angeles. You will witness a celebration of sounds ranging from Afro-Mexican to Americana, from the Caribbean to California, from traditional to electric, from English to Spanish with all the emotions in between.
