KAYATTA:

Kayatta is an American rapper, poet, producer and educator who grew up in the drug tattered streets of West Oakland. Over the years she has developed into an all-around talent who is not only skilled on the stage but extremely effective in the classroom. Recently crowned best hip-hop artist in Sonoma, Kayatta continues to push the envelope socially creatively and dutifully. Effortlessly fusing poetry with drums and bass to create sonic goodness that seethes with musical audacious honey. Imagine MC Lyte meets Ladybug meets Tupac. Currently residing in the East Bay of California she has found her niche and has been able to create musical compositions to speak to the masses. Not only is she extremely gifted with words she has a keen sense to connect with the community in a way that is healing and spiritual. This approach has resulted in a faithful community of fans who understand and can relate to the art she is curating and delivering.

Erica Ambrin & The Eclectic Soul Project:

Erica Ambrin is a singer/songwriter from Northern California who captivates the audience with her soulful voice and dynamic style. Growing up in Los Angeles with a DJ father, her eclectic taste in music has influenced her writing, giving you vibes of Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill, and The Alabama Shakes. She provides an exceptional experience through her sound and truly draws you in. Her music is raw and honest while comfortably inviting you into her space. Erica attended Hollywood Academy of the Arts and after performing throughout the LA area, moved to Sacramento and released her debut EP ‘Suga’.

Erica performed all over Northern California and beyond, gaining popularity after making it to Hollywood on American Idol. This lit fuel to her fire connecting her more with her love for writing. She moved to Maui to explore and self-reflect and the ocean inspired her very first hip-hop project ‘Lucid Dreamer’ which was released in 2018.

In addition to her solo career, Erica created a space for musicians from all walks of life, birthing The Eclectic Soul Project, a jam band homage to music. She is currently back in Northern California and in the works recording a new album. There is much more coming from this budding star. She gives hope, producing timeless music that can be played for years to come.

EKI'SHOLA:

Eki’Shola’s music is “Half-time electronic soul for the mind” - Resident Advisor. Featured in PBS, NPR Tiny Desk Contest, KQED and Best of the Bay Editors’ Pick, Eki’Shola’s music transcends genre, as she seamlessly draws from jazz, electronica, and soul music to create a sonic landscape all her own. A vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and board-certified physician, Eki’Shola uses her music as a conduit for healing. In 2016, fueled by grief, she was inspired to release her debut album, Final Beginning. Subsequently, after a traumatic escape from the Sonoma County October 2017 wildfires, Eki’Shola was further moved to focus more on her music and she composed Pieces, a trilogy, each album portraying a particular stage of reflection and healing.

ASCAP Plus winner and four-time NorBay Music awardee, Eki’Shola has shared the stage with Dr. Donald Byrd and Steve Turre and has opened for various artists including Bebel Gilberto, DakhaBrakha, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Lucky Otis, and Kitaro. Eki’Shola completed her Essential Virtual Tour in 2021, performing and giving talks across the world. Furthermore, inspired by observing the need for amplifying the voices of underrepresented creatives, Eki’Shola was moved to create and launch Unmute Magazine, a digital publication by and mainly for BIPOC artists. She looks forward to completing her fifth solo album, かえる(Kaeru), this year.
