The Art of Color Workshop

The Art of Color Workshop

Presented by Petaluma Arts Center at Petaluma Arts Center

Gary McKinnon, Instructor
Color is a phenomenon that spices up our lives; it communicates and symbolizes and it is definitely a topic of value to add to our experience of art as an observer or creator.
This workshop is intended to help anyone interested to understand how color affects our lives, our moods, and our decisions. It endeavors to make us more aware of what and how we see. It also employs color theory to help creators to use this element of design more effectively to achieve their goals in their work. It helps explain how color can be used to make more dynamic compositions in anything we design from a plate of food to clothes we wear. The class is meant to clarify and help you develop ideas used to communicate, to promote, or entertain, or just to enhance your next visit to an art museum, theater, or anywhere that features visual information.
The Petaluma Arts Center welcomes parents and children to spend time together in a workshop designed for all ages.
