Five decades after they first appeared at Lane Hall at The University of Delaware to play covers of songs, like Chuck Berry’s “No Particular Place To Go,” “Madison Blues,” by Elmore James, and ‘One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer,” performed by John Lee Hooker, George Thorogood & The Destroyers are back on tour to celebrate their first half-century with what Thorogood calls “the biggest, baddest rock party ever.” After 8,000 live shows and 15 million albums sold, Thorogood and drummer Jeff Simon are taking to the road together with long-time Destroyers Bill Blough, Jim Suhler and Buddy Leach to show fans they remain true to the music they’ve loved and played since day one.
