Botanical Illustration and Folded Books

Botanical Illustration and Folded Books

Presented by Western Hills Garden at Western Hills Garden

In this workshop we’ll create simple sculptural folded books to be filled with illustrations inspired by the lush plants, shrubs, flowers, and trees at Western Hills Garden. Participants will learn the tools and materials to properly fold and glue a small book, filling it with drawings of specimens found on site. Guided by prompts in observation and mark-making, the artwork generated can include drawing and / or watercolor. No experience necessary. Beginners are welcome!
