The multi-Grammy-winning, San Francisco-based Kronos Quartet will mark its fiftieth anniversary in the 2023/24 season with the Kronos Five Decades tour, adding to its legacy of innovation by performing programs which feature new commissions, signature works from its vast repertoire, and pieces from Kronos’ Fifty for the Future project.

For nearly 50 years, San Francisco’s Grammy-winning Kronos Quartet and its nonprofit Kronos Performing Arts Association have reimagined the string quartet experience through thousands of concerts, more than 70 recordings, collaborations with performers across myriad genres, and more than 1,000 commissioned works from composers worldwide.
