Get the financial assistance you need to make your artistic dreams a reality! Apply for a CA$H | Theatre grant today.

CA$H (Creative Assistance for the Small (Organization) and Hungry (Artist), founded in 1999, provides vital financial support to individual theatre artists and small, professionally-oriented companies with operating budgets under $100,000. While Theatre Bay Area originally administered the program for both dance and theatre in partnership with Dancers Group, TBA now only administers theatre grants.

For the dance application, visit dancersgroup.org/funding/cash.

CA$H | Theatre is an entirely artist-driven granting program. Each cycle, a panel of five artists and administrators is assembled to review the applications and make all granting decisions. Panelists go through rigorous training to assure equability.

The Spring, 2018 deadline is 5:00 pm, February 20, 2018.

IMPORTANT UPDATES TO CA$H Process
CA$H | Theatre has changed the designations through which you may apply for a grant. Both types of applicants (artist and organization) can now apply for either a CA$H | Creates grant ($2,500) or a CA$H | Performs grant ($5000). See guidelines for details.

CA$H | Theatre is grateful to now have three funders supporting this program (The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, the San Francisco Grants for the Arts and Arthur and Toni Rembe Rocke) allowing for a larger bank for granting

Additionally, please note that as of Fall, 2016 all CA$H | Theatre applicants need to be TBA yearly members (Individual, Associate, Company) in good standing in order to be eligible. Audience and monthly members are not eligible to apply.

We will have one in-person workshop each round in San Francisco (the workshop for this round has passed). Additional application information is now primarily available through a series of videos found here.
