Calling all Sonoma County Artists! Seeking an original artwork for our 2018 Market Poster

Minimum Size: 11” x 17”
Medium: Original art only—no Photographs
Submission Deadline: 5:00 p.m., March 19, 2018
Grand Prize: $250 Cash

2018 Poster Art Contest Details
➢ Seeking artists to create “poster art” for the 2018 Tuesday Night
Market poster—art will be prominently featured on the poster.
The poster is already designed, so we are seeking art ONLY.
➢ The contest is open to all residents of Sonoma County, all ages.
➢ Art subject: Fresh fruits or vegetables, could be mixed, or just one
vegetable or fruit (or mixed varieties), whole or cut or both together.
➢ Should be vibrant, colorful and appetizing
➢ Original art only, no photographs!
➢ Minimum original art size should be 17” high by 11” wide. Art will
be cropped and reduced as necessary, to fit within an oval
approximately 10” high by 7” wide. (Corner areas will be cropped.)
➢ Grand prize winner has the opportunity and consents to have their
art printed on items offered for sale, including 2018 Market poster,
Market totes, magnets, postcards, and other collateral to be
determined, as well as the Market flier to be posted around town. Artist
name will be printed on the poster. Grand prize winner also agrees
to individually hand-sign posters for resale, as needed.
➢ The grand prize winner will receive a $250 cash prize. 1st and 2nd place
winners will also be selected, although no cash prize is offered.
➢ Grand prize winner and 1st and 2nd place winners agree to offer their
original artwork for sale at the First Annual Farmers Market Funny
Fest fund-raiser silent auction in April 2018. The minimum bid for each
piece will be $100. 50% of the winning bid will be given to the artist
in addition to any other prizes.
➢ All entries should be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on March 19,
2018 at the VOMCFM offices, located within the Coldwell Banker
office at W . Spain St, Sonoma, CA 95476.
➢ All submissions must include (legible and securely attached to the
artwork): Artist name, address, phone number and email.
