Neighborhood Funders Group is hiring! We're looking for a Program Coordinator to help organize the field of philanthropy and shift more resources to movements led by communities of color and low-income communities.

This position is a great opportunity for someone interested in transforming the philanthropic sector and contributing to the movement for racial, economic, gender, and climate justice. Through this opportunity, the Program Coordinator will be able to grow their network in philanthropy, connect grantmakers with community organizing leaders, and increase funder collaboration across many issue areas.

The Program Coordinator serves as the logistical point person for Neighborhood Funders Group’s core programming which includes conferences, meetings, learning tours, and other events, both in-person and virtual. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with full benefits. The Program Coordinator is based in NFG’s Oakland, CA office and reports to the Vice President of Programs.

The Program Coordinator supports NFG’s three main programs:

Funders for Justice: FFJ is a network of grantmakers, donor networks, and funder affinity groups moving resources to grassroots organizing at the intersections of racial justice, gender justice, community safety, and policing/criminalization.
Funders for a Just Economy: FJE is the philanthropic “home” for progressive conversations about low-wage workers, immigrants and workers of color, workers’ health and safety, community-based anti-poverty efforts, community and labor partnerships, and power building.
Democratizing Development Program: DDP is a network of funders investing in community partners to create a people-powered vision for local development centered on community needs and opportunity.
Key aspects of the role include event logistics, building systems for cross-program coordination, communications, and member database management.

This position is full time (40 hours per week) and is non-exempt. Travel required 6-10 times per year.

Starting salary range is $24.04 to $28.85/hour (roughly $50,000 – $60,000 annualized) depending on qualifications and experience. NFG provides medical, dental, vision, and retirement benefits and generous vacation leave. The position is located in Oakland, CA.
