Santa Rosa Community Health Announces a Community Photo Contest for its Soon-to-Re-Open Vista Campus

Santa Rosa Community Health invites the community to submit images to its “Colors of the World” photo contest that will become artwork for the walls of its Vista Campus. This vital health center that provided health care to over 24,000 people in Santa Rosa and was destroyed in the October 2017 will re-open its doors late this summer. The photo contest is open until May 19.

Photographers young and old, professional and amateur, are encouraged to submit up to 10 striking, high-quality, digital images that celebrate our community and the world - in all its vibrant colors. The “Colors of the World” theme spans from the colors of the natural world to the vivid smiles and people you come across, from the colors of Santa Rosa and Sonoma County to the wide world beyond.

“People from all walks of life came together during and after the 2017 wildfires to demonstrate the power of a community to care for each other. We want to celebrate this energy and diversity as art on the walls of our Vista Campus, and to create a warm and healing environment for all our patients and staff,” said Gabriela Bernal-Leroi, Santa Rosa Community Health’s Chief Operating Officer who is leading the site reconstruction.

Public voting will occur from May 20-28, after which a panel of judges will select 50-100 final photos to be the contest’s winners, based on Santa Rosa Community Health’s actual art needs for the building. These images will then be curated, printed, framed and installed at the new Vista Campus in August 2018. All winners will be invited to the grand opening celebration to view the full collection!
